How You Can Help - Volunteer
Volunteers Needed

Aquidneck Land Trust volunteers, from our Board of Trustees to our property monitors and special events crew provide enthusiasm, support and elbow grease to keep ALT accomplishing its mission.

ALT's annual summer fundraiser, Fiesta Verde, and our Golf Tournament rely on a large committee and dozens of volunteers who help organize, set up, host and clear up the event, which is a major source of Land Trust funds.

A large and varied group mails our appeals and invitations to supporters. Others clip and file newspaper articles, and still others host ALT Cultivation Parties at their homes. Several help maintain our trails and steward our protected properties. Some take photos, provide legal advice and design our publications.

With a small staff, the Land Trust has numerous tasks that might go unfinished if it weren't for our volunteers. But even with the great volunteers we already have, ALT needs more to join in the fun and help preserve land.

If you're interested, please email or call David A. Thalmann, Director of Finance and Administration, 401/849-2799 ext. 17. We look forward to working with you.
