the Golfer's Warehouse Pro Am Tour
The Number One Rated Golf
Course in Rhode Island
Designed by legendary golf architect Arthur Hills, the Orchard Course
at Newport National Golf Club spans almost 200 acres that offer
sweeping views of The Sakonnet Passage, Atlantic Ocean and
Narragansett Bay. Reminiscent of some of Irelands finest golf links,
Newport National is a unique New England golfing experience on land
permanently preserved by the Aquidneck Land Trust (“ALT”).
A New Twist on Tradition
After five very successful years, we are offering a special
opportunity to participants in our annual summertime fundraiser. Our
tournament has been selected as an official Pro-Am Event of the 2008
Golfers’ Warehouse Tour. This means that each foursome will play with
a professional golfer who will be competing in the Golfers’ Warehouse
Professional Golf Tour this summer. These “world class golfers” are
the future stars of the Nationwide and PGA Tours. The tournament, held
July 7, 2008, kicks off with a box lunch and wraps up with a cocktail
reception and the presentation of tournament awards.
Have Fun and Help Save Aquidneck Island
All funds raised will support the preservation of open space on
Aquidneck Island. If you would like to join us, contact Jessica Pohl
at 401-849-2799 or
jpohl@ailt.org, or visit our website
at www.aquidnecklandtrust.org. This year’s event promises to be even
better than last year’s, with great food and drink and top player
prizes. Registration and lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m. and our
shotgun start will begin promptly at 1 p.m. A cocktail reception
following the tournament will feature a raw bar, appetizers, and an
open bar. For a list of tour players and other details, visit
www.golferswarehousetour.com.
