To our Supporters:

I am writing to acknowledge and honor the recent loss of a true friend of Aquidneck Island.

Yesterday, Edith S.S. Loebs of Middletown passed away.  Edie was an exemplary citizen of our Island home.  She had a keen interest in understanding the issues facing Aquidneck Island and then looking for solutions.  Edie and her family foundation also gave generously to numerous charitable causes on Aquidneck Island.  For example, her vision and generosity directly helped the Aquidneck Land Trust with its strategic planning and capacity building initiatives in its urgent efforts to preserve Aquidneck Island's natural character and open spaces for the lasting benefit of our entire community.

Edie's life reminds us that it is truly important to be involved and engaged with your community, in whatever way possible, because such involvement can make a positive lasting difference.  Thank you Edie.

Sincerely,

Edward Sortwell Clement, Jr.

Executive Director, Aquidneck Land Trust
