“Fiesta Verde: Treasured Island”
Saturday, July 22, 2006
Fort Adams, Newport, Rhode Island
Aquidneck Island's most precious jewels, and
the ones that truly shimmer and sparkle the brightest, are the
irreplaceable natural elements and landscapes that breathe life into this
Island. The Aquidneck Land Trust, with the creativity and extraordinary
generosity of nationally-acclaimed event designer, Perfect Surroundings,
is once again proud and delighted to pay tribute to this great Island's
natural habitats and our special environments by implementing an exciting
and original design concept. For this year's event, guests will enter
into OUR "Treasured Island" -- a series of tent lounges and settings
depicting a jeweled paradise symbolically representative of
the many invaluable natural elements of our precious Island.

While the Aquidneck Land Trust has
conserved nearly 1,300 acres of precious open space on Aquidneck Island,
your generous participation with Fiesta Verde will empower
the Land Trust to conserve more threatened open space in 2006.
Why do we ask for
your generous support? In 2005 alone, the Land Trust conserved 184 acres,
yet in the same timeframe over 230 acres were consumed by development.
Conservation cannot wait on Aquidneck Island! Funds raised by
Fiesta Verde directly support our conservation efforts.
Surpassing a
well-earned tradition of uniqueness in concept and décor, Fiesta
Verde: Treasured Island will celebrate Aquidneck Island’s most
precious gems – its irreplaceable natural elements and environments – by
creating a jeweled paradise at Fort Adams on Saturday, July 22, 2006.
This is an event not to be missed!
We hope you will join
us as a Precious Gem Sponsor. Please
